Student conduct
- Only proceed to the apparatus and equipment when advised by and under supervision of an instructor
- To follow all instructions given by the instructor
- Aggressive or bullying behaviour, physically or verbally will not be tolerated
- Do not try to perform moves or routines that have not been taught to you
- Do not go beyond a height that has been approved by your instructor
- Report to an instructor any incidents or accidents that occurred within the lesson
- Inform the instructor of any current/past injuries and medical conditions. Some conditions may restrict you from participating
- It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at the venue on time to ensure enough time for warm up to prevent injury or strain. For safety reasons students will not be allowed to participate in a class without warming up.
- Any activity trained on aerial equipment are not to be practiced outside of classes unless with a professional instructor, this is for safety reasons
Clothing
- Silks It is advised to wear long leggings/trousers and long sleeves to prevent any fabric burns. Barefoot is recommended or grippy socks, make sure that long hairs are tied up
- Hoop its advised to wear leggings and comfortable top, make sure that long hairs are tied up
- No jewellery or watches (including smart watches) should be worn during class, this is to prevent damage to the equipment and to avoid injury for our students. Only small stud earrings are allowed
- Chair and heal dance – comfortable clothing which won’t affect dance moves. Heels – please wear dance heels with soft sole, no platforms unless stated otherwise
- Circus classes – please wear comfortable sport clothing, make sure that long hairs are tied up
Equipment
- Do not handle equipment in any way other than advised
- D not cause damage to equipment
- Do not interfere with or attempt to adjust any rigging
- Report defective equipment or hazards found within the facility to an instructor
- Do not use any equipment considered to be damaged or defective
- Do not attempt to use the equipment if its is not part of the class being taught
- You will not be permitted to bring used your own aerial equipment without it being inspected by an instructor, they reserve the right not to allow it to be use.
Payment
- Classes must be booked online or via an instructor prior to attending
- Payment for classes must be received prior to the start of a class, unpaid sessions may be offered to students
Cancellation Policy
- For single sessions we operate a 48hour cancellation policy, any cancellations after 48hours are not entitled to a refund
- For block booking you have 48hours after making the initial booking to cancel and receive a refund, any cancelation after this will not be refunded
- Workshops and events are non-refundable, please be aware of this when making a booking
- If the event is cancelled by the instructor the booking will move to the next equivalent session, if this is not possible the session may be refunded
Media Footage
- Aerial Stilettos may take photos or videos during sessions for use in promotional, marketing material and to show student progression. If you do not wish to be included in this footage, please inform our instructor before class.
- Recording instructors during sessions is not permitted unless preapproved by the instructor
- You can record yourself during session for personal development, the instructor will inform you when this is allowed and please avoid recording other students
I acknowledge that my participation in Aerial Stilettos classes entails known and unanticipated risks that could result in serious injury; damage to myself, to property, or to third parties. By accepting our terms and conditions I have acknowledged the risks involved and indemnify any instructors against injuries you may incur whilst participating in these activities.
